Twitter looks a little bit more like Facebook starting today. Twitter joins the movement Facebook started in 2013.
The Twitter Company announced that they are gonna add the auto-play video feature to the users’ timeline, also making GIF imaging supported by their interface. Twitter is one step behind compared to Facebook, in the field of ad revenue, where Facebook is getting 4 billion video views from Facebook users per day. That’s why Twitter decided not to miss the chance of improving by introducing a move already proved valuable by Facebook.
The change fits in with Twitter’s progression from a text-only platform to one that emphasizes images and video content. The Twitter of today feels very different from the one of a few years ago, when images in Tweets did not automatically expand in timelines.
